Da Zao Chinese Date Fructus Jujubae Ziziphus jujuba

Functions: tonifies the Spleen and replenishes qi, nourishes the blood, calms the mind
Indications: Anorexia, weakness, loose or frequent bowel movements with other Spleen deficiency syndromes.
Dosage in decoction: 6-15 g

Chinese Red Date Wine "Gong Zao Jiu"
Supplements and nourishes blood, promotes digestion. Treats minor Spleen Qi deficiency and indigestion due to Stomach weakness. Soak fruit in Vodka or Rice Wine for one month at a ratio of 600g fruit: 1L alchohol. Take 10-40 mL 3 times per day. Wine recipe is from Bob Flawes Chinese Medicinal Elixer Book.
