Rou[4] Gui[4] "Fleshy Cinnamon" Cx. Cinnamomi Cinnamon

Properties: acrid, sweet, hot
Channels: Kidney, Spleen, Heart, Liver
Functions: Number 1 herb for severe Yang Deficiency in Lower Jiao; clear vaginal discharge, asthma with profuse phlegm, shortness of breath and low back soreness
Heat above, cold below with red cheeks
Disperses cold, opens channels and vessels and stops pain due to cold and stagnation
Promotes Qi and Blood generation
Dosage in decoction: 2-5g
Caution: Yin Deficiency with fire signs, excess heat, heat in blood, pregnancy
Signs of overdose are: dizzy, blurred vision, eye pain, rapid pulse, decrease volume of urine
Preparation: cook at the end of formula preparation
