Functions: Fresh/Sheng Jiang: Eliminates nausea and vomiting, resolves sputum
Disperses cold and alleviates cough.
Adjusts nutritive and protective Qi.
Reduces toxicity of other herbs.
Dried/Gan Jiang: warms the middle burner and dispels pathogenic cold.
Cold pain in chest and stomach with vomiting and diarrhea.
Dosage in decoction: 3-9 g
