Properties: bitter, acrid, astringent, neutral

Function: Number 1 herb for astringing blood and stopping bleeding due to deficiency
Dosage in decoction: 10-15g, up to 60g for blood cancer or bleeding during pregnancy

Comparative Ethnobotanical Info:
Chinese use a formula with Mugwort, frog, and human blood to stop
internal hemmorage. Similarly, Anglo Saxons used Agrimonia eupatoria fresh with human blood, frog flesh to for the same purpose.
